Come with me to photograph Europe’s most iconic carnivore in the natural setting of the Carpathian Mountains, Slovakia. Wild Brown bears are the focus of our 5-day wildlife photography adventure from the comfort and safety of specially designed photography Brown Bear hides.
The Carpathian Mountains in Slovakia has everything a photographer could wish for, beautiful landscapes and wildlife with that unspoiled feel to the whole area which is set is one of Europe’s most dramatic mountain regions.

I will be leading this amazing 4 day/5 night photo tour to this unspoilt and beautiful place in Slovakia for Tatra Photography. Where I’ll share my knowledge and enthusiasm for wildlife with you all, passing on my accumulated experience of the natural world. I am very passionate about helping each of my clients hones his or her photographic vision, and you’ll be shooting side by side with me, learning many skills which will improve your own photography on so many levels.

Our visit here will take advantage of specially built photography hides positioned in varied habitats and taking into account backgrounds and lighting conditions. We will have use of these specially designed hides that offer many different habitats. So that each guest will have the opportunity to photograph the animals in different locations against a variety of backgrounds, where we can gain a unique and privileged insight into their lives.
We have exclusive use of 4 hides specially located in the national park to photograph Wild Brown Bears in their natural environment, each day we will spend around 5 hours in the early mornings and 5 hours for late evening sessions in each hide. During the day we will catch up on some rest and I will provide tutorial and feedback session for my clients.

Over the course of five days in the field, we will enjoy numerous opportunities to capture spectacular images of Europe’s top predator and endangered wildlife in natural forest habitat. And with the help and advice from myself on the ground as things always change in nature this will ensure you return home with images you’ll be proud of from your five days of truly spectacular wildlife photography.
This short video of the area in which we are going will give you some idea of this amazing landscape and the beautiful wildlife that lives in this part of Europe. I really love the passion and beautiful feel to the wording used by the narrator which is in subtitles, very powerful.
